I'm over 60 now and feeling some aches and pains - I'm not very flexible...OK I'm very inflexible! and I've heard that yoga is a great think to do, so I'd like to give it a go but don't want to appear a total dork.
Ant recommendations for beginners classes?
TIA
The Y might be a good place to start. Often yoga studios have beginner classes or over 50 classes. In fact one studio in Chapel Hill used to advertise a class that would be great for you called something like "yoga for men who are inflexible". I'm sure there are some over 50 classes in Raleigh somewhere.
Have you considered using an at-home program to learn the basics if confidence is an issue? I'm a fan of Beachbody's workouts and from what I've seen their new "3 Week Yoga Retreat" is a great place for beginners to start: https://www.beachbody.com/product/fi...t-beginners.do
The city of Raleigh offers beginner yoga too. I keep meaning to try it...friends who have have loved it.
