I'm looking a small steel barrel to make a burn barrel. The common 55 gal. is too large. I need one to start charcoal in large amounts(20 lbs at least) then shovel into my pit. Something in the 20 gal. range would be perfect. If anyone knows a source let me know. New or used Thanks

Good idea! I didn't see anything that small listed for sale on CL. Worth a try though.

Automotive grease comes in smallish steel drums. Ask at service stations.

Well water storage tanks are steel and available in a variety of sizes. Ask plumbers for a "dead" tank they removed from service. If you obtain such a tank it will be necessary to cut the top off. A welding or muffler shop would have an oxy-acetylene cutting torch.
Shop Utilitech 20-Gallon Vertical Pressure Tank at Lowes.com

The tall one maybe. Flat on the bottom would probably work better. Something to consider...especially since the metal is probably thicker than a steel drum.
