It is pretty easy to cross over to Edwards Mill Road from the upper lots, and if that bridge floods, Raleigh and the 'burbs will have real deal diluvian issues.

That area has flooded with heavy rains even before Kidd Brewer owned it. My grandfather used to say it looked like a lake.

I remember it well. The horses that always grazed on the site moved to higher ground on Kidd's Hill.

Very good advice Lamishra, but who goes to malls anymore? I avoid the mall like the plague like annanbanana123 said, 24/7/365.

Can't remember the name of the hurricane but it was a few years back that our son who was a student at N. C. State told about the student who parked his car in that parking lot to avoid trees on his local street. It would be funny if it were not so sad.

Do you all think people park there on purpose in an attempt to have their car totaled/collect insurance? I can't imagine someone living in the triangle for any significant period of time not knowing to avoid Crabtree/heavy rain but it happens over and over again.
