Have shots against the Hurricanes increased or decreased in past seasons?

Significantly lower under Peters. A tiny bump last year, but look at all the youth.

2233 Last year. 27.47/game

2225 2014-2015 27.14/game

2526 2013-2014 30.8/game

1538 in the 48 game season, 2012-2013, for 32/game

It's a good topic, though. I just don't have time to run through other years' stats. But, I like the trend.

What were the shots against in the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 seasons?

You have the 2012--2013 above. Short season.

2636 SOG in 2011--2012 32.15/game

The stats link in my post farther up will take you all the way back to 1997--1998 season.

Shots against have decreased under Peters. That is a good sign toward improved defensive play.

The concern this season will be on offense. It appears shots on goal have decreased. Creating more opportunities with the puck should be stressed with importance.

I'm looking forward to taking my 4-year-old grandson to a practice. Once they have a connection with the players, they'll be fans for life! We've taught him to say "Go Canes" whenever he sees the logo!

I wonder if the Hurricanes will do any promotions such as exhibition games and preseason practices in Charlotte and promotion of the team in both North Carolina and South Carolina.

Well, now....

Prospects win the Prospects' Tournament.
Canes win first two preseason games.

Looking forward to Friday night and TBL dropping in.
