For what it's worth, Al Cohen, the guy who runs Jireh Management, is black. And he seems to be waffling a bit as to the significance of Ms. Dolezal's involvement.
From his press release: "Jireh Management Group headed by Al Cohen has proposed bringing Rachel Dolezal to Cary as a centerpiece of the second annual Diversity Summit to be held at the Cary Arts Center."
From a follow-up statement in response to the furor: "Rachel Dolezal is just a participant among other participants taking part in our panel discussions."
So she's either a "centerpiece" or "just a participant." Either way, I guess this self-described "entertainment company" has gotten some priceless exposure.
