Many more than we have now apparently. There should not be multi-hour waits on a regular basis.

Imagine if the original plan to have only a single location open for all of Wake County for the first half of the early voting period had been upheld.

Wake County continues to grow, and an increasing share of voters are trying to vote early. The number of available hours had better be increasing as well if they even hope to keep pace, much less improve the situation.

Most of the people who took advantage of early voting did not do so because they had to based on unavailability on Nov 8th -- most decided they wanted to because 'what the heck.' Fear drives people as much as anything. Fear of lines on election day itself ironically creates an election day where there are short lines and in some cases, no lines whatsoever.

Perhaps the only way to do this is to make every day, 30 days out from an official election day a, "voting day," with extra special snowflake service so people who really don't want to have to bother will have their own voting servant who will attend to them at home or wherever they may be.

Oh, ok...I thought you were seriously asking for suggestions. Apparently not.

More days (I suggested 30 days before election day) should provide enough time for early voting.

As for special snowflakes, well...there's always at least a few...

The next election is actually next year

Not dramatic at all...

I was referring specifically to presidential election years. Apparently that has to be spelled out.

I think that this thread should be put to rest. Early voting is done and people are probably crabby due to election stress.

Next presidential election I'm voting after it's over to avoid the stress that all of you are seeing
