I live down there and have thought the right sort of record store could work. I like how, for instance, Schoolkid's in Raleigh has in store live music and a handful of beers on tap. But coffee would be cool, too.

Good idea. You should add dvd rentals too, might attract the same audience. Also have some retro arcade games. More small locally owned coffee shops are definitely needed in Cary.

There are so many things wrong with this I don't know where to begin.

Might as well tack on a food truck side venture since those crazy auto shops are what's seemingly stopping you from opening a business.

Actually, with auto shops and other blue-collar business around, the food truck might be the safer bet.

There was a used record store in downtown Cary for many years. Pretty sure it was in this building or the one to the west of it. Dropped Pin

Like, you want to buy their buildings so it's stopping you, or you cannot have a store near auto/mechanic shops?
