Cracker Barrel has pretty good pies. They sell whole pies in the gift shop this time of year. I had a chocolate pecan one last yr that was good. I think Costco has one of the best pumpkin pies.

Lowes, has Pecan Pies, Apple Pies, Black Berry Pies, Mixed Berry Pies, Cinnamon Apple Pies, Sweet Potato Pies, Cherry Pies, all on sale. Sweet Potato and regular Apple and Pecan Pies are like 4.50, and black berry, mixed berry, cherry, are like 7.99 same thing for cinnamon apple, though they are dwindling down to just sweet potato pies and pumpkin pies. Any ways people sleep on lowes but their pies are good. Also Whole Foods has Pecan and Pumpkin pies for 16$

Pecan Pie

This is the pie that I made on ABC's Good Morning, America.

1 stick butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 cup light Karo syrup
3 eggs, beaten
1 cup chopped pecans
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
Preheat oven to 350°. In a saucepan, melt the butter but dont let it brown. Mix in the sugar and Karo syrup and cook, stirring, over medium heat until the sugar dissolves. Stir in the eggs. Mix well. Stir in the pecans. Pour into the pie shell and bake for 1 hour or until firm when shaken.

Serves 8.
