Default moving from michigan...

Hi all, my husband and i are in our late 20's with 2 small children, schools and churches are important to us. my husband will be looking for work proably with a home builder. i'm interested in being near Raleigh, but on the outskirts where housing and land is less expensive. we want to live near raleigh because we have family in goldsboro, but we are torn because living in a beautiful place with mountains, hills, streams and hiking is even more important, i want to raise my kids in a down to earth town where we can spent time enjoying nature. we've thought about moving to the west side of the state or even eastern Tenn. but we are a young family and like the cultural benefits of being near a bigger city. is there anywhere that has the best of both worlds? any tips of advice would be greatly appreciated! -Brandi

Have you looked at Asheville? It sounds like it would meet many of your needs.

Home building may not be a good field right now.

Raleigh has more churches than any city I ever saw.
