The reviews since the place changed ownership look good. Apparently the chef is from 18 Seaboard. I just got an email announcing their $85 fixed price NY Eve menu. Anyone else thinking about it? This doesn't include wine so it's a bit pricey. It's on Friday night and Saturday night, New Year's Eve. The price isn't so bad if you compare to the regular menu prices.

I know the guy took over as head chef and general manager, but did ownership of the restaurant actually change hands?

Yes. The old owners manage Burke Manor in Gibsonville.

Thanks. The Burke Manor website says that the Lacassagnes sold Saint Jacques in July 2015, and that led me to Was Saint Jacques sold? (Rumor).

We went to NYE 2016 after the new chef and we didn't like it. I wonder if it will be any better in NYE 2017?

Hard to say. The new guy started in May 2016, so he wouldn't have been involved in the last NYE.
