Talking Officially here!! Hello Raleigh... Bye Bye Boston...

Hello all... I know it's been a while since I last posted here, but that's because I was busy getting everything together to get my butt down here. I am so glad to finally "live" here and be away from the overall turbulence in Mass. Thanks so much to everyone on this forum who had nothing but valuable information and insight for me as I went through the motions. I am now enjoying better weather, better parks, better traffic, better people (so much more friendly), and just what I suspect will turn out to be a better overall lifestyle!!!!

I joined meetup too and have met a lot of awesome people recently. This site and that have been a blessing. My pup and I can be spotted getting some excercise at any one of the awesome Raleigh parks and dog parks. She was even tired of the cold and snow & ice.....wish she could speak so I could get her thoughts....haha!!

So looking forward to my new area!!!!! I'll be sure to chime in from time 2 time.

All the best... Bob

I only hope that I wont get "bumped", like an overbooked flight, when I arrive at Raleigh. Looks like lot of birds are migrating from Boston to NC. Maybe we should start a support group .

Welcome to NC but I think you are going to have to change your "location" from Mass to Raleigh!!!

Welcome.
People here are very friendly but as far that I remember the people in Boston are also friendly.

Even some in NYC were nice when we once lived in lower Manhattan.

So, how did the move go??? I'm still stuck here in MA...it snowed again last night and we are expecting another 6 inches Friday night. I have easily spent over $700 so far on plowing and the winter isn't over yet!!! I am so happy for you. Enjoy the beautiful, mild winter weather!!!
