We are getting ourselves ready to make the move to the Wake Forest area and have a question about the middle and high schools. We loved North Forest Pines when we took a tour, but did not have time yet to check out the middle and high schools. Our preference would be to go the YR route at NFP and continue on through MS and HS. Does anyone know if the MS and HS assignments will likely be YR after more schools are finished (I know no one can say for sure)?

Also, what do you think of the current MS and HS options for residents of Hasentree? We are waiting to hear from Ravenscroft; however, there are MANY applicants for slots in the grades my daughters are in and neither is an "entry year" (i.e., no automatic, added openings). We did like that school (we visited a couple of times) and the idea that my kids could someday be bussed away from our closest (public) school makes me very uneasy. I have lived in NoVA for over 40 years and am so accustomed to "neighborhood schools."
Thank you for taking the time to read my Thread.

Determine School by Student Address (http://wwwgis2.wcpss.net/cgi-bin/Production/MainScript.pl?MainOption=StreetMain - broken link) - Student Assignment - use address to find
Base Schools and Magnet Programs/Calendar Option. Currently, the only year round option is South East High School - not a true YR - it operates on a modified Track 4 schedule.
Good LUCK.
