Hi,

We have been renting in Cary for the last 3 years. Plan to buy a new home in the next 3-6 months.

Looked at Bishop's Gate. There seems to be rail track. I do not know how much impact it will have in resale. Otherwise we liked it a lot.

Killarney Pointe and Weathersby also seem to have rail track problem

StoneCrest also was good. They seem to have a cell phone tower within the community.

Saw Twin lakes, Blackstone, West lake and Peakway.

I am totally confused.

Can anyone help? Is the rail track at Bishop's gate a problem?

Sandy

I have clients that purchased a home in Bishop's Gate and they love it. They were very particular about where they purchased. They looked at every neighborhood imaginable. They went down to the Town of Cary planning department and got the town development maps to make sure that they didn't miss any neighborhoods.

At Bishops Gate they do make you sign a disclaimer regarding the railway. However, the railway is a "Freight Only" railway. It runs 2x's a day and it's a local train. It's very different than the Amtrak train that runs parallel to HWY 54 and runs through downtown Cary.

If you would like more details or would like to speak w/my clients about the neighborhood send me a PM and I'll see what I can do.
