Praying for all you folks out there in the open . Hope we all get thru this with nothing more than tons and tons of rain filling our lakes and some high winds.

Thumbs up Now THIS is what I call a rainy night!

Hoooooooooooooo, B-b-b-baby!

No one rain is a drought-ender, but this one sure is willing to take a whack at earning that title!
Lovin' it!

Just don't need the tornadoes, like they talked about in Caswell County...

What a windstorm!! I am glad the trees around my house are all rock solid pines so they won't snap and land on my house! (sarcasm mode off lol)

We got 2.5" in Orange County. This rain should add a couple feet to Falls Lake.

Default My first North Carolina Boomer

This was our first one and I must add I was not at all fazed by it at all. I never realized how comfortable a bath tub is to lay down in.

Durham area, here. I love storms, thunder, lightening, etc. But we have lots of grand oaks around the house. And lots of branches became lethal weapons this evening. In three locations, I found several broken branches impaled into the soil. Impaled! Caused by a a heck of a lot of wind along with a lot of water in a short period of time. At least I experienced that in my area of town. Tornado warnings, though? I thought people were just kidding about such things. Nonetheless, I hope everyone faired well in all areas affected. In the meantime, it's time I start calling for an arborist/tree trimmer.

That was freaky. I love storms but not a tornado. I put my pocketbook into the bathtub and tried to figure out how I could grab both my dog and my laptop at the same time so we could go hide in there :-P

(the dog would have won, don't worry)

Just looked outside- all the kids toys are still there! Granted, the smaller stuff I had put inside- the balls and junk. My son has one of those toddler size playsets that he can climb on and slide and theres a swing and tower and stuff like that- the last bad winds we had pushed it a few feet, but it didn't move last night.

Seems like there was some damage to a home in clayton from a tree that decided to come down- I believe I heard the family is okay!!! Hope all of our friends out that way are doing well and suffered no damage!
