DOT has finally gotten off their rear and will be widening 54 from 540 to Airport Blvd and Aviation parkway from 40 to 54 in the next few years. They are working on widening the rest of 54 toward Cary, though they have a way to go on that last I checked.
Thanks for that. I guess I haven't really kept up since I moved out of Morrisville a couple years ago so. Hopefully these projects will be completed in a timely manner to get ahead of the growth there.
Ahead of the growth? These things should have been done years and years ago

How would they feel if the projections are not accurate?
And how many people moving here in 10 or 20 years want to pay now for infrastructure, risking their funds on their own, possibly inaccurate, projections?

The projections are never 100% accurate - they are at best an educated guess. There are just so many factors that could swing population growth one way or another. If in 1991, you could tell me that Holly Springs would be 27 times the size population wise in 25 years, I'd be glad to borrow your magic 8 ball.

Right.
And we have to work so very hard to get bond issues accepted.
