Default Know of any safe walking trails

My daughters and I walk our neighborhood on a daily basis but recently had the idea we would venture out to the different walking trails just to spruce up the exercise regimen. I live in Knightdale and have used the trail behind city hall which is a really nice trail but I don't know of any others close to us.

Any help?

Holly

I'm another vote for a greenway system. I've walked quite a few and never had a problem (safety wise.)

If you are willing to drive a little further, Durant Nature Park trails are worth the hike (pun intended). For the quickest way from Knightdale, take 540 to the Capital Blvd North exit toward Wake Forest, then take the first left onto Gresham Lake. You then take the second right (there should be a sign for Durant Nature Park) and when that road T's, take a left. The small parking lot is on the right hand side of the road.

Main Street Park in Rolesville has walking trails also.

I can think of worse topics to be dredged up! This is indeed a city full of walkers! I liked the loop around Lake Lynn. Very pretty and lots of geese to talk to.
