No more sightings as of Saturday afternoon at my feeder. My regulars have departed.

Haven't seen a Hummingbird since Wed. I sure miss those little guys already.

I had 2 hummingbirds at my feeder. They've vanished about 1-2 weeks ago. I'm new to this so didn't even think of them migrating (duh!) lol. I'll miss them.

They sensed that days were getting shorter which triggered the migration. Many will soon be flying nonstop over the Gulf to Mexico and beyond...amazing.

I was at Yates Mill 2 weeks ago and they were everywhere because the Jewel Weed was blooming. I've never seen so many at one time, it was amazing.

I went again last week and hung around the same area for about 15 minutes. I saw a total of two zip by just once and that was it.

Until next year...

Now I have to check! They were all over the feeders all summer long, so I sort of became used to them being around. I am in the mountains, so maybe they are moving on?

Had a few at the feeder yesterday. They'll be gone in the next few days.
