Good day all! I am thinking about relocating to the Raleigh/Durham area soon. My daughter who is a junior in high school said she will be cool if we move where the school and its marching band program is good. She is an awesome musician (skilled in 6 instruments) and I want this transition to be good for her since I will be snatching her out of her school for her senior year. The school will determine where we live.
Any suggestions??? PLEASE!!!

Cary High School has a great marching band program! My son was in it a few years ago, and it was such a great experience.

Check them out at http://www.caryband.org/

Cary HS and Green Hope High School are known for their band programs.

This isn't an instant message board so if someone doesn't respond in 6 minutes you can't freak out.

Patience is a virtue--in this part of the country, anyway.

But I was gong to suggest Cary High, as well--lots of National band titles.

Also check out the Wake County public schools site, which probably tells more about each school's strengths.

Heritage High in Wake Forest has a great band program with a very good band leader. There are also many homes in the area that are walkable to the high school.
