This off-season is turning out to be pretty good for our NHL squad.
Now needs to come the part where they (hopefully) finally put it together and are able to get that 'x' next to their name by the time the regular season ends.
We've waited long enough, it's time to as Justin Williams said, "Climb that ladder and get relevant again".

Well, by October 7, it seems we will have waited...
Question to the experts: Are there usually specific games or seating areas most suitable for families with kids? I've been longing to finally go out and take the wife and kid, but would like to make it a nice experience for them. Maybe I'm too cautious, but I've been mostly at soccer games in Europe and there certainly are areas designated to families and other areas I'd rather not take a 3 year old with.

Hurricanes games are definitely family friendly - people aren't cussing out players/refs or getting drunk at the games. I've never seen anything crazy at the games. They do have family night deals if you're looking to take your family to a game: https://www.nhl.com/hurricanes/tickets/family-nights

I would suggest you avoid a Boston, NY Rangers, or Philadelphia game with a 3 year old...
Those people are animals and they come out in force.
Heck, the Rangers fans come to the Boston games just to taunt the Boston fans.
Seriously, the games are very family friendly. I would compare the outreach to kids as even better than the Durham Bulls games.
Last time I saw ugly behavior at a Canes game was the Cup semifinals against Buffalo in 2006. However the finals against Edmonton were placid and respectful.

I saw a Bruins fan ready to take on 3 more sober Rangers fans last winter.
Security settled things down and the NYers snickered the whole 3rd period.
It was actually pretty funny.
