I've watched too many episodes of "The Great British Baking Show" and now wonder if there is a place in the area to get fancy dessert items like napoleons in the area.

Lucettegrace is nearly too fancy for Napoleons, that would be too basic for them. And I don't know about La Farm either, they do mostly breads, croissants but less in the way of pastries. I do know, for sure, that Raleigh French bakery does napoleons. It's out on Hillsborough St in Raleigh but they sometimes sell out...

I've never seen Napoleons at La Farm. If I did, I would have bought them

Good luck and let us know. I would dearly love to know where you can purchase real pastries.

Apex has Buttercreams bakery and the Belgian Cafe/and bakery (for napoleans/millefeuille). The new Publix in Apex has some very attractive glazed fruit tortes.

You will not find napoleons at La Farm. They are a French Bakery and primarily have breads. They do make pan au chocolate and chocolate croissants.

You can find napoleons at Publix and they good. Whole foods has some good pastries. I have heard that Bagels Plus in Holly Springs has good Italian pastries.

millefeuille the word spell check does not have in its dictionary. I can bake cookies and cake but not willing to do a thousand-layers of pastry dough.

Not sure why I didn't think of Guglhupf before posting, but the other places are new to me. Watch out waistline, it's going to expand a lot if I visit all of the places mentioned.
