The Crème Brûlée and Carrot Cake at J. Alexanders near Crabtree Mall are
otherworldly.

Everything I have tried there has been excellent.

Read a bunch of reviews, lots of people saying it's only worth it for the dessert. But to get it, there's a line forming around the building before they even open. Is it really worth all that?

There's a line during peak times at Hayes Barton, but nothing crazy. As for the main menu, it's good, solid food and worth sitting down for the meal. But the desserts are clearly its most distinctive offerings.

You should also check out Lucky 32 as their offerings change frequently and we've never been disappointed with any dessert we've ever had there.

Maybe we'll do a drive by the next time we're in the area and see how the crowd is.

We'll check out Lucky 32 also, thanks.

Hayes Barton meatloaf is outstanding. Share the meatloaf and get two slices of cake. One for there after dinner and one to take home and eat the next day!

Had an amazing meal last week at Seasons 52 at Crabtree. My favorite part was the
dessert options that were all served in small shot glasses and were $3 each.
We shared Key Lime, Pecan Pie , Mocha & Creme Brulee and they were all excellent.
They have a 4-6:30 Happy Hour with $5 small plates -all delicious ..
Ready to go back already.

Here is a list of all the dessert choices.

KEY LIME PIE
pecan crust, toasted meringue
PECAN PIE
vanilla bean mousse, whipped cream, honey-glazed pecan
BELGIAN CHOCOLATE S’MORE
chocolate cake, rocky road mousse, toasted marshmallow, chocolate-dipped graham cracker
MOCHA MACCHIATO
mocha & vanilla mousse, chocolate cake, caramel sauce
CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER TORTE
chocolate cake, peanut butter mousse, peanut tuile
RASPBERRY CHOCOLATE CHIP CANNOLI
ricotta & mascarpone, chocolate chips, raspberry sauce, cinnamon cannoli shell
CHERRY CRÈME BRÛLÉE
vanilla bean-infused custard, compote of cherries
