Are taxpayers funding this stupidity? Bad enough if we wind up bribing Amazon to bring unfunded infrastructure needs here.

Gotta love the irony. We are advertising on Seattle's busses (their infrastructure).

With the news that Raleigh is not getting a MLS team, I'd have to believe that the appeal for this area has taken a small hit.

Zero effect. And we just aren't in the race for the current expansion of 2 teams

What waste of money. They spent 50 grand on the proposal and there is a zero chance it will happen. Before we moved here from Seattle people kept talking to me about how the KKK is here and how we were making a mistake.

Are those 2 statements supposed to relate to each other somehow?

How about spending it on poor folks here instead. You guys realize Seattle is a sanctuary city and is extremely liberal.

By that "logic", 100% of government spending would be for direct expenditures to the poor.

What is the connection between that and Raleigh's bid for HQ2?

Yes, there is an image issue that they should address here first. Why doesn't Amazon even have a tiny presence here? Not even low paying warehouse jobs? Logic, try it.
