Why pay? The P&R I used was free and had tons of capacity. Corner of Edwards Mill & Reddy Creek.
Depends what day you went - I know some people who went on the weekend and the P&R lot was a disaster with buses not arriving frequently enough and people just ending up walking from the lot.
The Minnesota Pie are the best thing I had in a long while. Do yourself a favor and get 6 for $25. They come in a box so you can take home. Had the apple and pumpkin, both are excellent. If you get them individually they come with cinnamon or vanilla ice cream. I went with the cinnamon, which was excellent too.
Deeply regretting not getting a Minnesota Pie. They looked amazing but I was very full by the time we made it to that side of the fairgrounds.
The chocolate pie with cinnamon ice cream was calling my name!
Going back Sunday to get my eat on! I know I'm going to hit up Al's Fries, the pretzel place on the far side, and that chocolate chip cookie stand. I had the polish sausage last week, but aside from Neomonde, I don't know of a good place for a solid entree that isn't the typical hamburgers/hot dogs fare. Anyone know if the State Farmers Market place is a full menu (doubt it)? I guess I could give one of the BBQ places a try.
I always park on Beryl Road between Blue Ridge and Powell and never have trouble finding parking.
Thanks. We did exactly this in the AM and had no problems. It's a big of a walk but after everything I ate, I needed it. No traffic getting out of the area either.
I went last night for dinner since I had an extra admission ticket and it was crazy packed.
