Which is shocking because that area, on the radar, has been getting hammered for hours. Yet, I have friends and family from SC to New Bern who haven't seen a drop or flake yet.

Dopplar looks bad, but its evaporating before it hits the ground here. The air isn't saturated with moisture yet. It should be soon though

I don't think we're going to get anything here. Radar shows heavy precipitation in Wilmington but nothing has fallen yet.

Atmosphere is too dry or something.

My husband is driving home on HWY 54 between Alamance and Orange Counties, and he said that snow flurries are falling (not sticking on the highway which was brined).

Not a flake in Chapel Hill, in the middle of the storm supposedly. Sometimes the moisture gets sucked out of the storm. Looks like this will be another one of those types of fake-outs.

On the wunderground category 6 blog comments, someone says 1.5 inches in Sanford.

Where is ours? If it's going to be this damn cold, I want some snow!

Also what's with the sudden usage of "bombogenesis" or "bombing out" or "bomb cyclone"? Nobody ever used those terms a couple years ago.
