That's such a strange feature. The builder would have to pay me to put that in! I rather have the space in lieu of the voyeurism.

I'm confused - is there no railing over there? Don't go up there after a few beers!

And why is the shower in the water closet? What a debacle.

When we first moved here we were in a rental house with a master bath that had no door, and the ceiling was all open like that to the bedroom. But there wasn't a loft up there Still weird in my opinion.

When we were house hunting few years ago we saw a house where master bathroom was separated from the bedroom only by a half wall. There were high ceilings and the wall only went up as far as the door, not all the way. I thought that was weird but at least it didn't have an observation deck...

Weird. We saw one with a double-sided fireplace between the master bedroom and the family room. Wide open.

When we first arrived in NC and were apartment hunting, saw a spanking brand 2BR in one of those pop up McTowns in Cary. It was beautiful, until we saw that the bedroom had no ceiling. Just a wall that went up to about a half-foot shy of the ceiling.

The agent, clearly someone in their first job and clueless, kept trying to justify it as some new cool thing.

I might even have pics of it. Deal killer.
