Where are they looking to build in Wake County (southern RTP) once the temporary lease is up?

I thought the targeted spot was just south of Cisco near Louis Stephens and Little Drive.

That's not the fault of the post office. When fax, email, and social media became mainstream, cards and letters decreased. USPS was more of a letter-sized carrier while private companies like UPS and FedEx took over the package shipping industry.

On the other hand, I have ordered a few things on Amazon in packages that were delivered by my USPS mail carrier and not UPS or an Amazon carrier.

That's why Amazon is building fulfillment centers by the hundreds so that they can stock popular items closer to the last mile of delivery so that the 2-day guarantee becomes less expensive for them.

FYI, I order more than 50 items per year. I guess they aren't making any money off of me?

Let's move off the postal discussion. If postal rate are really that fascinating to you, please start a new thread, but it will probably get moved because it's not a local topic.

Yeah.
Why are we goin' postal over Apple?

The cachet of an Apple campus in RTP will be significant.

Well, if we are going postal, let's hope Apple can deliver on their promises.

Apple should be considered priority.

Definitely.

Just a better company in a great many respects, and very stable.

based on my experience with both, and the Amazon experiences/products noted above, I'm going to disagree with that at this point. Amazon was started to get your hands on books you couldn't find in the book stores, right? I am sure that years ago, like me, folks thought "it's not really free shipping until I've ordered 10x in a year". I don't think that's the mindset anymore. it's not the mindset I see at Costco - you've made your money back in gas or about 2 trips to the warehouse.
