Shortly after moving here in 2007 my mother called me all excited because she read that one of the top ten Italian restaurants in the U.S.A. was in Raleigh; the article was in a travel magazine she skimmed while flying somewhere. A year or so later we finally tried the place, Nina's Ristorante on Lead Mine Road. Honestly, it was okay but it wasn't any better than the pizza places we frequented back on Long Island which also offered a full menu. I seriously doubt they were a legit top Ten except maybe in Raleigh.
I'm sure Imperial Garden is good, but I'm still getting my fix from Panda Garden on Highway 98.
I like the place, and it's sort of pretty. But the "best"?
I like their food and since it is about 5 min. from my home, we do order our take out from there!
Their Sunday buffet is small but very good and very fresh. Yum.
I don't know what restaurants spray on their buffets, but I often get sick after eating at the buffet. I've never gotten sick from eating at Imperial Garden's buffet so that is a huge plus in my book!
If any of you get a chance to check out Mr. Dumping in the Olive Chapel Shopping Center (Lowe's Foods) off 55 in Apex, I would highly recommend it.
They just replaced "Lee's Garden" a few months back. The difference is night and day. Mr. Dumpling has a HUGE authentic Chinese menu with a smaller American Chinese menu. The food is BY FAR the best Chinese food I've had since living in this area for almost 12 years. The taste and quality are evident compared to many other places I've been.

We went there several times. We must have ordered the wrong thing
