What is it about Kildaire Farm Road and failing restaurants? Is Cary population primarily eating at new shopping areas like Crossroads, Park West Village, Parkside Town Commons, etc, while ignoring the previously busy Kildaire Farm Road?
I'd say that it appears that City BBQ is doing a very good business. I'm surprised that Patrick Janes' is still there. Tijuana Flats seems busy every time I go. I wasn't surprised with the Hurricane Bar & Grill (or whatever) closing. Also surprised that the run down Boston Market is still open.
The Newk's spot is a good place. Lots of visibility with Goodberry's right next door.
What would be a good restaurant to go there? I'd like to see a Smashburger or Shake Shack go there, but the building is probably too big. I'd love a Showmars from Charlotte. Please not another cookie-cutter Mexican restaurant.

They're usually pretty busy. As is Sassool next door. And Diced. (Not sure about the Sushi place ... haven't been there in a long time) Trying to find parking around that section of the shopping center around lunchtime or dinner time is a challenge!
I miss the idea of that place, but the one on Kildaire was pretty run down and the food wasn't that stellar in my limited experience. I could do with a Tir Na Nog in my neck of the woods.

No argument, except that "run down" was the atmosphere.
Not exactly "dive." Not quite spiffy, either.
It should have been DT, not a roadhouse.
Who wants to drive to a pub?
Or, a deli, for that matter.
I want to saunter in with my newspaper under my arm and sit in the corner.
