That's a nice article and highlights some interesting parts of Cary that are frequently over looked. I'm making a serious effort to support local Cary businesses!

Thank you for finding that article. I so did NOT want to like Cary during my visits scouting out the area the past couple years. Aside from the comments on this board about Cary, during my "pass-through" visits of Cary, I found it to be much like if you took Glastonbury, CT and West Hartford, CT and parts of Manchester, CT and mashed them all together - viola! You have Cary. That is why I did not want to like Cary - at first appearance it looked like what I am trying to leave.

My wife loves Cary. Seeing that Cary does have some character and some history of its own...., I am much more comfortable about focusing our house-hunting on Cary, even though I can't quite let go of Apex yet. Maybe Cary is that happy medium for us - enough familiarity for my wife and enough southern (new and welcomed to me) culture and history for me.

Yes! I thought Cary reminded me of West Hartford too-and I'm not a WH fan. But, I will give it a closer look when we get there, based on the article.
