single mother of 2 looking for new life
Hello, everyone..I am a single mother of two (boy & girl) and I am looking to relocate my family to Charlotte or Raleigh. I am taking up health care in college, so I will definitely prefer the area with highest paid healthcare positions. My sister & cousin live in Charlotte, but I don't find Charlotte schools to be more highly ranked than Raleigh. I don't want to live in the cities (I prefer the outskirts). What do you recommend for a single mother to move over 500 miles away from home? Which suburbs would you select (not too expensive) and would you say Raleigh or Charlotte would be best for a single mother trying to start a 'new' life for her family? Your thoughts & suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  |

with the "not too expensive" part you may look into the triad area. specifically the edge of Orange county. that would put you between at least 2 major hospitals in the area, in Durham and Burlington and well as others.

Raleigh is better for healthcare. They major universities and their hospitals are all there.

As a single mom with two children, I would tell you to pick the place where you have family who is willing to help out.
