Default single mother of 2 looking for new life

Hello, everyone..I am a single mother of two (boy & girl) and I am looking to relocate my family to Charlotte or Raleigh. I am taking up health care in college, so I will definitely prefer the area with highest paid healthcare positions. My sister & cousin live in Charlotte, but I don't find Charlotte schools to be more highly ranked than Raleigh. I don't want to live in the cities (I prefer the outskirts). What do you recommend for a single mother to move over 500 miles away from home? Which suburbs would you select (not too expensive) and would you say Raleigh or Charlotte would be best for a single mother trying to start a 'new' life for her family? Your thoughts & suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

with the "not too expensive" part you may look into the triad area. specifically the edge of Orange county. that would put you between at least 2 major hospitals in the area, in Durham and Burlington and well as others.
try Mebane

Raleigh is better for healthcare. They major universities and their hospitals are all there.

Buying or renting? Price range? What type of healthcare position?

As a single mom with two children, I would tell you to pick the place where you have family who is willing to help out.
