Yeah - I'm curious how good those are. I'm not a pie person but I've read up on Slice Pie company and they are a small local business. I hope the OP reports back on the quality!

Awesome. Enjoy it. Another great option IMO if you want something smaller is the Key Lime Tart at lucette grace in downtown Raleigh. I've only seen it there once sadly.

The Key Lime is worth every penny. I've tried some of their others and would not say they are worth the money. If you like a tart and lemon zesty pie that is not too sweet, this is worth the splurge.

A PIE thread without MikeJaquish!!!???!?!??

Maybe I’m early; Anyway, just go to Publix for it. Bonus if you could find an Atlantic Beach Pie to send to her.

I think you have to make that yourself.

I would just make one myself.

Graham cracker crust.
5 egg yolks
1 can sweetend condensed milk
1/2 cup lime juice (Myers will work)
All the zest from the limes

Fold everything together. Bake @ 350 for 20 minutes. Cool and serve.
You can use the egg whites to make a meringue if you are feeling saucy.

$30 seems ridiculous. And someone said this earlier, the frozen ones are better than they should be for $6.

I've eaten key lime pie in half the restaurants in the Keys, looking for the best. Until I realized they all buy them from the same bakery!!!
