Charlotte or NOVA. Perhaps a WP store is a bellwether of "big city" or not.

That or “try hard” but what do I know I wear wire-rimmed glasses in 2018.

SPECS Eye Care - Southpoint Mall Durham NC - Eye Exams Optometrist

That place is at Southpoint and would be similar to The Spectacle at N. Hills.

NOT if you wear progressive lenses.

If price us a factor. I've priced progressives out extensively (with designer frames). Costco beats everybody, including online. (And progressives often need adjusting which is something not as easy with an online order.)

Single vision lenses - online for sure.

This is true, but my local optometrist (who I see for my exams) is more than happy to adjust my Warby Parker progressives for free.

Sorry, I thought you were referring to adjusting the frames. I've never needed lenses adjusted.
