Mostly tasteless, but the bread was good. Key West Jerk salad didn't taste like any jerk...anything I've ever had, just felt like a jerk for ordering it.
My kid is in love with YaYa Tea on Franklin St in CH. Only place I've seen onigiri on the menu, but I'm sure there are others. They specialize in onigiri (also known as riceballs, although they're really more triangle shaped) and bubble tea, many of which are actual tea and not overly sweet. Locations in NYC and Chapel Hill.

I have texture issues but for some reason I am dying to try bubble tea LOL. I just know it's gonna gross me out but I have to try it.

Overall, meh.
Good to know. We were about to try it, as we eat very few carbs these days. We were in Greensboro a few weekends ago and tried a place called Saladworks. It was surprisingly good, with generous portions. Last weekend we were on the road near Charlottesville for dinner and stopped at Panera because it was right next to the highway exit. Soup was "okay" but the "Spicy Thai Salad" was not spicy and actually somewhat bland. I had lowered expectations for Panera but it managed to not even meet those.

Kung Fu Tea, Milk Lab, Crema in Cary and Sir Walter Coffee, Grand Asia Market, Pho Far East in Raleigh are a few of the bubble tea places around me that I go to.
My daughter likes the bubble tea from Crema Coffee. It's a cold tea that you drink with a larger diameter straw to allow the small bubbles (tapioca balls) to come through when you sip.
We’ve been going to the Flying Saucer once or twice a week for lunch while my husband works on getting his first Saucer. We love their food and beer selection!

Funny, I like bubble tea for that exact reason -- like the texture!
