I have to go on "POOP PATROL" first and I'll probably mow tomorrow. The grass is very tall where it got a little extra fertilizer from the 4-legged barking wonder. We haven't mowed all winter but many homes on my street have had lawn crews in all winter mowing.

My brother just built a backyard septic system to compost his dog's waste. He said it wasn't difficult and makes a great fertilizer for non food plants.

Yep, it's been in the 80's, and will be again tomorrow. We just moved down here last summer from your area in MA. We keep an eye on 2 weather reports- Raleigh and Boston. As a Bostonian I can tell you it is awesome down here. The trees are blooming, the grass is growing, and winter is over!

I have not. I thought about it but the thought went away. I even went to pull the lawn mower out but came to my senses and said awww Crab grass! And the thought went away again. But I know its growing in fact the feeling to go out and cut it is growing on me and I so hate that kind of growth!

Mowed for the first time today. The wind helped to dry it out nicely after the deluge we had the past two days.

It was pretty darn thick too in spots. Glad I went ahead and did it today or it would have been terrible.

Our lawn definitely needs to be cut and our yard needs to be weeded. I'll weed this week and send my hubby out to mow the lawn next weekend.

Mowed some of the grass for the first time (the front couple of acres) last weekend, and, amazingly enough it looked like it could almost use it again today when the sun popped out and started drying things out --growing like gangbusters w/ all this rain. But will wait til this weekend to mow again.
Mud-bogged the tractor w/ boxblade/rippers through the veggie garden plot yesterday right after the rains, and loaded some manure into the space (will till later)--- talk about some muck.
Fun stuff.
