My boyfriend and I will be moving to Raleigh in December, I’m considering Duke as an option for school, and he will be working right next to WT. we’re looking at Brier Creek as an option for living.

Is this a good option? How is the traffic? We’re open to better ideas too, we want to try to avoid as much traffic as possible.

You'll be a lot closer to Duke than he will be to WT in Brier Creek. If you wanted to be more fair in commute time, west Cary near 540 would probably be a better option. The only problem is that you'll likely be commuting on a toll road to get the fastest route.
