I did a search on this forum and was unable to find much information on the following two apartment complexes in Durham: One City Center and Liberty Warehouse. Since our family may need to travel back and forth to Las Vegas while renting for the next six to twelve months, I thought a two-bedroom or three-bedroom apartment in a nice building might make more sense than renting a home which I believe would require more upkeep. I would appreciate any feedback on the two aforementioned properties or any other similar properties in Raleigh, Chapel Hill, or Cary. Thank you.

I looked at Liberty Warehouse before I decided to go ahead and buy. I liked the location and layout (was looking primarily at 1 bedrooms) although it was pricey, there are plenty of amenities. In addition to a small gym/game room, you have the farmer's market literally right outside, and it's walking distance to downtown. Plenty of good restaurants/places to hang out in that area too, including Saltbox, Fullsteam Brewery, the Pit, Motorco. I think you pay more if you have a shorter term lease, so factor that in.

If you can afford the rent in downtown Durham, then go for it

You didn't see a lot of information because these are very new complexes.

Most of regular posters here are home owners than renters, so you won't find that many rental info here. Maybe post at Bull city subreddit? One City Center is brand-spanking-new, just started leasing only a month or so ago, I don't think you'd find much review anywhere yet. Liberty Warehouse is slightly older, maybe 2 years? Online reviews seem mostly positive. BTW, you should check with the leasing office but I don't think neither apartments have 3 BDR units. You'd have better luck finding bigger and less expensive apartments outside of downtown.
