I get it early, and if the flu is virulent and widespread, I would possibly do it again later.
Missed getting it yesterday and will do it for sure today.

I heard flu season runs October through May. I like to get mine by mid Sept. since it takes a few weeks to kick in. I never got a second shot but no problem if needed. It doesn't take but a few minutes.

Last year, there was plenty of flu starting in August through September.

I haven't had flu for many years, but the last time was quite memorable, and since then I really don't hesitate to get the shot.

I got the flu in mid October years ago. I remember it so well because I was sick at the State Fair. That's when I started getting the shot.

I think that's a good idea, although if they're going Trick-or-Treating, there's a germ fest right there. Kids putting their hands into a communal bowl of candy and grabbing a piece, putting it back, picking up a different one.

I aim for 2nd week in October, personally, so there's time to get to max efficacy by Halloween.

Saw on CBS tonight that a plane load of flu infected passengers from Dubai landed in New York today. Better start rolling up those sleeves

My husband and I did ours today at Publix and got 2 $10 gift cards too. BCBS has no copay so I got paid to take the shot. And I love shopping at Publix.

I know a doctor who gets it twice every year. Once around this one and again in January/February as she believes it has about a 6 month window of protection.

No. Work offers it free but there is no schedule yet. Maybe October.
