KytoNC is on a distinguished road
Default TownHome Vs Single Famil Homes

My family and I are moving in to the triangle area later this summer and debating on whether to buy a townHome or a SFH.
Our plan is to buy something small not more than $150k and then rent it in a couple of years once we move up to our permanent home.
We are looking at areas which have good schools, mostly in North Raleigh, Cary, Morrisville, Apex, Holly Springs and Fuquay Varina.
Now we are getting more choice in Apex, Holly Spring and Fuquay Varina. especially in buying a SFH.

Would anyone know which would rent faster a TH or SFH? Also do SFH 3br/2bt about 1300sqft in Holly Springs, Apex and Fuquay Varina rent fast and for how much?
Any information is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

JM2C, but I'd expect that the areas in closest proximity to RTP would be easiest to rent out (N. Raleigh, Morrisville, Cary) compared to Apex, Holly Springs and F-V. You can check out market rents on Craigslist and sites such as Rentometer.
