To those unfamiliar, it is a new subdivision on Lake Wheeler Road, south of Raleigh, very close to Yates Mill. Houses start at roughly $450K.

With two builders, there isn't much happening at all below $500,000. Average sales are over $600,000.

I would not recommend buying a lot adjacent to Yates Mill Road, just for traffic noise. If you can get a lot farther from the road, it is a decent, quiet location. Easy drive into Raleigh, or to Crossroads for shopping.

none of the base schools are above average, based upon the raw metrics. I know the new-ish principal at Athens Drive is very highly-regarded.
