Right on cue, WCPSS finally made the call.

Now waiting on my employer. I really don't want to have to set my alarm only to see we finally decided to not open, .....at 5:30 am. Wouldnt be the first tine they waited until some people were already on the way to the office, to call it.

WCPSS is off, but the ABC Stores open at noon!
We're a hardy bunch, with needs.

A most reasonable concern!

I just got a text from a client who moved in yesterday.... "Thank God we found a place walking distance to Food Lion and the ABC store"... lol

Also everything is a slushy nasty mess now. More limbs down now than there were this morning for sure.

Lots of slush here. Looks like a majority of the snow has been blown out of the trees, so keeping fingers crossed that we don't get an outage.

I agree. Used to hear the same warnings living in NY, and invariably some idiot will attempt to heat their home in such a way as to poison their family with CO2 or burn the place down.

There was an article in Long Island's newspaper today about some people that had to be rescued from tidal waters on the north shore. Why? They typed the wrong address into their GPS and kept driving right into the water as they looked for their destination. Three people in the car, no one said, "hey let's stop before we drive into that there bay." (Aside from all this they were about 50 miles from the town they actually wanted to be in).

Stupidity knows no geographic boundary.
