I've always wondered this. I think it's more than you think - tons of lurkers. I think I remember someone saying this was the most high traffic regional forum on City-Data.
1% of the Triangle (~ 2 million people) would translate to about 20,000 C-D "regular" viewers. I'm thinking it's waaaaaay less than that.
If OP posted in the WRAL Comment section....that's a different story.
Especially if the alleged tailgater was one of those angry ranty types....WRAL comment section is a magnet for them.
That's true, this is the most high traffic forum. Sometimes, generic questions like HVAC/crawlspace/maintenance items actually get more replies here than the House forum!
I try to get more people/maybe just lurkers to this site - I tell friends/family to come here and do searches and read to get basic information.
I send my clients to this website but most get turned off by the negativity.
Other than the regular Realtors that post on here, there are other Realtors that hide in the shadows and will send PMs to others. My clients don't like to be bothered!
City-Data is very well indexed on Google - again I think you'd be surprised, but who knows.
This was the first website & forum that I encountered when Raleigh was a glimmer in my mind almost 4 years ago. The stats on this area are hard to ignore.

Doesn't surprise me. I've sent people here and warned them ahead of time. If you don't know what forums can be like, it's eye opening.
