This has become a very entertaining thread.

I was worried it might take a bent reminiscent of the "general US" section of C-D.....and some of those folks tho post in there regularly would probably read this all as literal; but knowing the tone intended makes this an amazing read. hahaha

Hey every grocery chain possible is a plus, the competition has them all ACTUALLY competing vs betting that they are going to get customers no matter what.
.
Lowes added a beer den then Harris Teeter did too, Harris teeter been had nooks where you can eat, so has publix so Lowes started adding them too, Food lion even changed up there facade and prepared food section, H-Mart(love me some damn H-Mart lol) dropped and Publix finally started adding shin ramyun vs regular degular top ramen and hot bar started to change up too. Anyways the comp and pressure to step it up has been noticeable.

Do we at least get to keep North Hills since that's "Midtown" and not "North Raleigh"?

Naw, forget merging with North Raleigh, what makes more sense is merging with Morrisville and Apex since they blend right into each other to the point it's confusing sometimes. Preston starts in Cary then the other half Morrisville, but once you turn left or right and drive a little bit, it's cary again. Then go down davis, passing grace park and it's morrisville but just a little further where the wegmans is going to be and not to far from the other HT on davis you in Cary again lol. Same thing with Apex.
.
As far as growth and Cary being city, don't think nobody saying it's a city, city, more so there aren't as many reasons you HAVE to leave, whether that be for work or to kill boredom.

Cary is a collection of multiple grocery store chains and car mechanic shops, surrounded by fancy houses, and that's it.

I'm going to the US Post Office now.

Do the folks live there, or just fix cars?
I was kinda hoping to drop off some mail.

Eh in my 4 years here I learned that most people that grew up here(the triangle as a whole) don't exactly know even their part of the triangle well(too many friends and coworkers that grew up here never heard of most of places I tell them about) but in all honestly Cary gets a lot of undeserved flack.
.
First I'll say that chatham square is underrated, literally no chains, can eat anything from Nepali, to Mexican, to Chinese, to Korean, to Jamaican, to even a Pakistani bakery, then go get your haircut.
.
2nd: While I don't like the auto shops in DT, and while DT Apex may have a better feel, DT Cary isn't that bad when you think about what's there:
Pro's, Faulisi, Sidebar, Bond Bros

.
Big Dom's Bagels

.
Fresh

.
Neighborhood sports bar and arcade below pure gold is good for late nights, good mix of food trucks and the cheapest place to catch ppv fights, it's sorta like the social in durham then boxcar

.
Hemp Boutique for those trying to alleviate pain with out the high

.
Homepage - The Cary Theater

Cary Theater is actually underrated and has a good mix of Movies, Comedy, and Music, and even local film screenings where you can interact with the actors and directors of the film
.
Anyways not gonna post everything and I have my critiques of DT Cary but the progress is visible, the break up of DT and autoshops can sorta take away from the vibe you get when your xyz downtown but there are def things worth exploring.
.
3rd: Cary isn't all chains as far as food goes.

Noodle Blvd on Harrison has some delicious ramen

.
Can't go wrong with some brisket at Brew n que

.
Bulgogi at Oiso

.
KFC(Korean Fried Chicken) wings at Aroma

.
triangles second location of dames

.
Vida Dulce for natural pops

.
Abby Road and Corbett's for burgers

.
Oxtail, curried goat, and brown stewed chicken plates at taste of jamaica has always been on point and one plate be enough to feed 2

.

Anyways not about to go overboard posting pics lol but again some of the flack cary gets is based off old perceptions and just naturally not knowing what's there based off not having a particular reason outside of a festival or two to go depending on where in the triangle you are at.
