Default Cable, internet, etc. Prices??

I will be moving to Durham short term in September. Do cable companies offer the basic cable packages (like channels 2-20?) In ohio where I currently am, we are on that plan and it is only $11/mo, plus $29/mo for roadrunner lite...totaling 40/mo. Is it possible to get anything like this down there? Thanks so much!

Yes, you should be able to find a plan much like what you currently have. My daughter has the basic -- few channels, internet -- like what you have described, down in Wilmington, NC, and $40 sounds about right.

My experience has been when you start going for the premium channel, and get caught-up in the tiers, the racket is about the same, as well as the price. It just depends on whose service is better, and who you want to write that check out to each month.

Same with phone providers.
