I personally haven’t found one that I thought was good. I know Pierretong likes Noodle Blvd in Cary. It wasn’t bad, but I’ve never had a hankering to go back.

Noodle Boulevard in Cary is my favorite in Wake County - if you head up to Durham, check out M Kokko (though go early or really late since it's tiny and hard to get a seat). Zanyu in North Raleigh is not a bad option either.

Do you have a favorite? I'm always looking for new ramen places to try around here

I haven’t found a favorite down here. I thought Sawasdee on Glenwood had a surprisingly good Tonkotsu, but only had it once. My gold standard is Ippudo NY, but I honestly haven’t found any interesting ones in Raleigh. I never bothered to try Tonbo after I read that it was opened by Kanki. I went to M Kokko once, but forgot about it. Maybe I’m not ordering the right ones. I usually try to get Tonkotsu or House ramen when I try a new place.

Wow here I was thinking ramen is what you eat in college because PB&J is too expensive!

Haha that's the equivalent of thinking that mac & cheese just comes out of a Kraft box!

I've never been but I've heard mixed reviews about it so never bothered to try (I did try Rose's in Durham once when M Kokko was slammed and it was pretty decent)

I went to Dashi after a friend raved about, but thought it was mediocre. I really love Japanese ramen and ate a lot of it when I lived in NYC. I’ve tried many varieties, but the noodles make a huge difference for me. I don’t know where local restaurants source it down here, but it’s not the same. I’ve also found most of the broths locally to be sort of bland and lacking the depth of flavor of a good ramen bowl.

I’ve also had the ramen once at Sono and it was nothing to write home about. Basically, I’ve given up on ramen in the Triangle.
