With as much actually good wines available for purchase I can't imagine why anyone would waste the time and money on this swill. Any decent wine emporium can make suggestions for wines in any budget but chuck will never be included in their recommendations.

When it first came out, it was decent for the price. BUT now that they buy their grapes from anywhere you never know what the quality is going to be.
I'd say, there are far better wines under $10.00 that i would buy before i'd ever drink that moonshine

I don't drink so much wine, maybe a glass or two each month, so I prefer to spend a few dollars more and get something really good.

You pay the usual sales tax on it. If you think about it, you are paying for transit for it to come this way which is my understanding.

You go Woof;
That was funny. I agree with you, I have tasted box wine that is far superior than that of a cheap wine. I even drink white zinfindel when people are not looking

Perhaps Southpoint, South Square, or New Hope Crossings would make more sense.

Yeah, I would think the South Square area (perhaps over in the shopping center with the Kroger's, or in the K-Mart plaza) or Southpoint would make more sense... but from a TJ's perspective, I could also see the benefit of an Eastgate location, in being able to be "central" to Carrboro/CH and Durham. Just be glad to have them closer!

If it's that good, you could probably sell some of your bottles in NJ and make a profit, nc_green. Our nearest Trader Joe's is in Marlton. I go there a couple of times a year - I love that store!

Well, sad to see Earth Fare going outta business, especially since it's a NC-based company.
I think the ChapelHill/Carrboro area might be getting saturated in the specialty/organic/etc grocery business. Whole Foods, 2 Weaver Street Markets, Southern Season, Fosters, the local farmer's markets...and then add an Earth Fare, which just apparently couldn't compete with all that.
If Trader Joes is added to the mix, who knows who'll end up losing out. They have a stronger name recognition than Earth Fare, so I'm afraid one of the smaller ones might be the first to fall.
