Thumbs up Pictures of Cameron Village Area ~ Raleigh, NC

I haven't had the opportunity to post pictures here in a while. Now with this great spring weather we are having I can't think of a better way to kick things off again than by posting a few pictures of the Cameron Village Area of Raleigh. I had to swing by the Wake County Cameron Village Library today after work and I took a quick stroll around the block and snapped a few pictures of the houses that line the areas in the vicinity of Park Drive and Forest Road (See map below).

This is a fantastic area. The homes are gorgeous, the landscaping lush and mature, and you have the library, dining, and shopping options within easy walking distance. It really is the best of both worlds. I do not know this area well and I have a lot more exploring to do. I will post more pictures as I visit more of this area over time.

(These pictures were taken on April 16,2008)

Enjoy!

Cool detached garages and landscaping!

NRG,

Very, very nice!
I have been out a little, shooting azaleas and dogwoods, but this stuff is great!

Thanks for the pictures-what well-cared for old beauties those homes are! I now want to drive around that area next time I'm there.

And seeing the gorgeous blooming plants...I am jealous, because here in CT, all I see out my window today is brown sticks...gosh I hope this is the year I get to Raleigh.

And I was excited because my crocus were coming up and the buds on the trees are getting bigger! Spring is a ways away here in MA.

Nice neighborhood! I love these older homes.

Agreed! I was at dinner last night at Fraziers on Hillsborough (delicious!!!) and thought about how nice it would be to walk there from a home in Cameron Park. I also drove through my old stomping grounds of Boylan Heights and I must say that neighborhood looks great. It has come a long way since I lived there ten years ago.
