Default Estimate for spring maintenance of irrigation

I have the type of irrigation where prior to the winter the company that installed my irrigation took apart the PVC that sticks up out of the ground, and removed a few other parts (you can tell I don't know much about what I'm talking about), and also "insulated" some pipes in the ground (covered with ripped off piece of kitchen garbage bag). They then sent an estimate to perform this for this spring/winter for total of $150 -- $125 if I signed up right away. We paid $45 for this in our previous home - which was more zones and a more complex system where they had to blow the water out of the lines to prevent freezing, and took up to 45 minutes pre-winter. This company had 5 minutes of work to take some stuff apart and leave in a bag, so I don't see why it is so much more expensive. I got an estimate today that was $200/year for spring/winter maintenance combined. Does anyone have a company that services N Raleigh/Wake Forest area that is reputable and charges less than $62 per instance of $125-200/year for this maintenance? Thanks!!

What kind of irrigation system do you have? Our last two houses had irrigation systems via underground sprinklers all over the yard. The winterization process involved using an air compressor to blow out the lines. It took about 20 minutes to do by myself, or 10 if I had a helper to watch the heads. In the spring there was nothing to do but turn the water valve back on in the basement and cycle the heads to bleed out all the air from the lines. So at most you'd have to pay for closing them in the fall, but nothing in the spring. The only time I ever had to pay over $100 for anything was if I had bad heads that needed to be replaced.
