Cam Newton announced that he may need 2,4,or 6 weeks away from the game to heal. He did this as he sipped his glass of wine and smoked his cigar. This shows that it takes much, much more than athletic ability to be part of a winning professional sports team. The life of a multi-million dollar sports athlete can be a very, very cruel place.

What was he wearing?

I don't watch or care about football. And even I know the guy is a jerk.

I don't know whether he's a jerk or not. Things happen in the heads of star athletes. But the injury is real and not easy to recover from: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lisfranc_injury

He has 200X more Athletic ability than Tom Brady. However, TB would have jumped on the fumble in the Super Bowl. #notsuperman

He guess he might appear to be a jerk depending on how you look at him. One thing I do know is that Cam Newton had a passion for helping kids.

To whom has he been a jerk? In what way? You know this how?

His dad pimped him to highest college football program bidder for his senior year. That says more about how corrupt college athletics had/has become than Newton taking advantage of it but it showed me his true character.

As far as his so called love for kids that was nothing more than a marketing campaign dreamed up by the Panthers.

A cigar smoking wine drinking so called athletic bailing out on Youtube is a wonderful roll model for the young kids of today.

What a piece of .... work

None of that is evidence that he is a jerk.

And I'll just say to plainly. if he was white, neither you nor jkgourmet would be commenting on him.

You mean "role model".

Well, this is still trivial compared to what Mickey Mantle used to do -- and get away with, until Jim Bouton wrote Ball Four.
