I could understand it more if I lived in say Henderson, which is ~50 miles from Raleigh.
I think WF will get there soon, it just takes time (especially in an area where you have to bury everything).

We only have 2 in our area......neither good. Hughes Net is satellite...not going that route again. Plus in this day and age I don't think 25mbps counts.

Fios availability in NC is not listed on Verizon website. My understanding is that Verizon sold operations to Frontier years ago.....maybe they laid some fiber optic lines (that frontier now maintains?) before they pulled out of NC.
