Yep - lousy premature reporting from WRAL. Nothing new there.

Edit: For the record WRAL edited the original article, which made it sound like an actual major emergency.

Yeah, they had an announcement at the bottom of the Eagles games tonight which made it seem like a crazy emergency.

On my way home in back and had to divert...second time this year for the exact same thing...seriously hope it's not the same aircraft! Going back to RDU now after topping off.

The quotes in my title were just how WRAL headlined their article. Weren't meant to imply it's not an emegency.

That being said, their vague initial reporting made it seem like something broader.

Updated info was on RDU twitter and WRAL was way behind. SMH.
On another note they have a new meteorologist so maybe Peta Sherwood’s days are numbered at WRAL.
